Abstract
Latest advancements in limited sample analysis will be presented. The webinar will focus specifically on single-cell proteomics and deep visual proteomics and how latest innovations in mass spectrometry namely the Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Astral MS has helped advance the fields.
 
Mass spectrometry-based proteomics enables you to investigate biological system to uncover new insights in cellular phenotypes, function and signalling status. Yet to advance proteomics, analytical techniques must become more sensitive, accurate and precise than ever before. They need to be able to interrogate biological systems with much more detail, depth and specificity. The development of the Orbitrap Astral mass spectrometer facilitates such experiments. The Orbitrap Astral mass spectrometer provides the depth and sensitivity that enables the study of single cells to be practical. Researchers can now delve deeper in the understanding of complex cell heterogeneity, analysis of rare cells and spatial tissue mapping. In this webinar. Key leaders in the field of proteomics will share some of the latest advances in Single-Cell Proteomics (SCP) and Deep Visual Proteomics (DVP). Both deep proteome coverage for low input samples and real single cells will be demonstrated, achieving over 7000 and 5000 protein groups respectively while maintaining an FDR below 1 %. Investigation into cell cycle mechanisms and DVP analysis of high grade serous ovarian cancer will also be demonstrated.
