The COVID-19 pandemic changed many things about how society functioned, with one of the most significant changes being the switch from in-person to virtual interaction. Everything from simple family gatherings to work relied heavily on digital technologies to connect us to family, friends, and coworkers in our efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19. Large in-person events, and meetings particularly, had the potential to become superspreader events and had to become virtual or be canceled altogether.
