GMOs, CRISPR, and other gene-editing buzzwords have caused mixed feelings among the scientific community and in public discourse. Whether it's editing crop genetics or editing embryos, there has to be a set of rules or guidelines for scientists to follow going forward. What should they be? Who should get to do decide? And who will enforce the rules?
