The "Aeroleaf" is a wind turbine with an innovative and attractive branch and leaf design. Called abres á vent in French or "wind trees," they are produced by the New Wind company in France. Entrepreneur Jérôme Michaud-Larivière invented the Aeroleaf, which has conical, modular leaves that generate electricity by rotating in the wind silently. They start to spin even in light winds of 5 mph. According to This Insider, the 30-foot-tall Aeroleaves can generate enough electricity to run an office space for a year. New Wind has plans to build and release smaller versions of the Aeroleaf as well.
