Just as expected, SpaceX’s Dragon cargo spaceship docked with the International Space Station on Monday to provide crew members with fresh food, supplies, and science experiments.
Among the nearly 5,900 pounds of cargo that hitched a ride on the Dragon spacecraft was a new AI robot, genetically-identical lab mice, and other things apart from the usual food rations and oxygen tanks.
The International Space Station’s robotic arm facilitated the docking attempt, enabling the spacecraft to connect with the Earth-orbiting space lab without difficulty.
After the latest goods are unloaded onto the International Space Station, crew members will fill it back up with trash and spent supplies so that they can return to Earth in the coming months.
