Have you ever wondered why global warming is such a big deal? It can affect the habitats of animals all across the globe.
Two of the places where global warming makes one of the largest footprints are in the southern-most and northern-most parts of the planet, where the icy areas are quickly melting due to increased global temperature. This affects the hunting grounds for polar bears, and other animals that rely on those icy floors to remain in tact.
The Bengal Tiger is another animal that is known to be suffering from the effects of global warming. As the sea levels rise, their hunting grounds are getting swallowed up, which in turn shrinks their hunting grounds. It is said there are only around 500 of these tigers remaining in the wild.
Warmer temperatures also make it easier for the annoying mosquito to breed and spread diseases, and can affect the sex balance of reptiles like turtles and crocodiles.
There are many nasty effects that come from global warming, but perhaps the most notable is that you're going to sweat a lot more and be more uncomfortable outside.
