Earth rotates on its axis at a mind-numbing speed of 1037 miles per hour (or 1670 kilometers per hour). But, amazingly, we don't feel the slight bit dizzy from this speed. We only know and feel Earth's rotation by observing the shift in night and day, and the movement of other planetary bodies around us.
Though we can't feel it, Earth's rotation matters a whole lot - as in, we wouldn't be here without it. If the Earth suddenly stopped spinning, our world, as we know it, would completely desolate.
