Nobel Prize-Winning Physicist Says Global Warming is a "Non-Problem"

WRITTEN BY: Anthony Bouchard

Global warming is one of those highly controversial subjects that continue to gain traction in the media. It feels like half of the population will tell you that it exists, and the other half of the population will tell you that it's all a big lie made up by the government in order to keep us from doing what we do every day.

Although science continues to show evidence of global warming having an effect on our planet's ocean level and polar ice caps, not everyone is convinced that global warming is actually a ‘thing,' and that nature will take action to reverse what we call global warming all on its own, as it has since the beginning of Earth's time.

One such scientist to believe this is a Nobel Prize-winning physicist that goes by the name of Ivar Giaever, who has spoken out against U.S. President Obama saying that he is "Dead Wrong" about global warming despite backing the president during his first campaign as a potential presidential candidate.

Giaever isn't sitting well with President Obama's latest speech "Global Warming Revisited," in which the president says "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."

The Nobel Prize-winning physicist goes off on a speech of his own in a 30-minute interview saying, "How can he say that? I think Obama is a clever person, but he gets bad advice. Global warming is all wet. I would say that global warming basically is a non-problem. Just leave it alone and it will take care of itself."

"Global warming really has become a new religion. Because you cannot discuss it; It's not proper. It is like the Catholic Church. The facts are that in the last 100 years we have measured the temperatures it has gone up .8 degrees and everything in the world has gotten better," Giaever continued.

Giaever also says that President Obama's suggesting in his speech that the planet's temperature was the highest in 2014 than it ever has been was all wrong, and that the global temperature hasn't actually risen for more than 19 consecutive years, suggesting that this whole global warming thing could all be a hoax.

"If you're a physicist, for heaven's sake, and here is the experiment, and you have a theory, and the theory doesn't agree with the experiment, then you have to cut out the theory. You were wrong with the theory," Giaever continues.

Giaever also disputes that sea levels are rising at abnormal rates. The physicist believes everything going on with the planet to be completely normal and that nature will take care of itself without any human intervention necessary.

It's no doubt that polar ice caps continue to melt; scientists have been recording data for years and have demonstrated diagrams that show them waning as time goes by. Nonetheless, it's all perfectly normal in Giaever's eyes.
