Good dog owners love their pet unconditionally, but how can you be sure that your dog loves you back? For some, the answer is obvious; but for those curious minds out there, there are a few signs to look for.
Studies performed on dog brains reveal similar behavior during emotional responses that we’d expect from our very own minds. That said, dogs generally experience emotions like happiness, jealousy, and excitement in situations like our own.
If your dog follows you around, maintains eye contact, and gets excited at your presence, then it probably loves you. On the other hand, dogs that avoid you, won’t look at you, or seems unphased by your presence well… then maybe not.
At the end of the day, spending time with your dog and making them feel loved is a sure-fire way to ensure they love you back. Neglecting them and failing to provide the care and love they desire could backfire.
