CaSR (6D4) | Santa Cruz Biotechnology

mouse monoclonal IgG1; CaSR Antibody (6D4) is an IgG1 κ mouse monoclonal CaSR antibody (also designated GPRC2A antibody, Parathyroid Cell Calcium-Sensing Receptor 1 antibody, Extracellular Calcium-Sensing Receptor antibody, NSHPT antibody, PCAR1 antibody, HCasR antibody, or Parathyroid Ca(2+)-Sensing Receptor 1 antibody) that detects the CaSR protein of mouse, rat, human and rabbit origin by WB, IP and IF. CaSR Antibody (6D4) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-CaSR antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-CaSR antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR), also designated parathyroid cell calcium-sensing receptor, is an integral membrane protein that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor 3 family. CaSR is involved in maintaining a stable calcium concentration by acting as an sensor of the extracellular calcium levels for the parathyroid and kidney. Its activity is mediated by a G protein which activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Defects that activate CaSR cause autosomal dominant hypocalcemia, whereas mutations that inactivate the protein cause familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia. CaSR is expressed mainly in kidney, and is also expressed in intestine, placenta and brain.
