HSP 47 (G-12) Alexa Fluor® 594 | Santa Cruz Biotechnology

mouse monoclonal IgG2a; HSP 47 Antibody (G-12) is an IgG2a κ mouse monoclonal HSP 47 antibody (also designated SERPH antibody, Serpin Family H Member 1 antibody, Serine (Or Cysteine) Proteinase Inhibitor Clade H (Heat Shock Protein 47) Member 1 (Collagen Binding Protein 1) antibody, Cell Proliferation-Inducing Gene 14 Protein antibody, Rheumatoid Arthritis-Related Antigen RA-A47 antibody, Arsenic-Transactivated Protein 3 antibody, Collagen Binding Protein 1 antibody, 47 KDa Heat Shock Protein antibody, Serpin H1 antibody, AsTP3 antibody, CBP1 antibody, CBP2 antibody, Colligin-1 antibody, Colligin-2 antibody, Colligen antibody, PIG14 antibody, PPROM antibody, or OI10 antibody) that detects the HSP 47 protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA. HSP 47 Antibody (G-12) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-HSP 47 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-HSP 47 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are ubiquitously expressed in all organisms. HSP 47, also known as collagen 1, serpinh1, collagen-binding protein 1 (CBP1) and gp46, is expressed in smooth muscle cells, specifically in the interstitial space between tubules, vascular smooth muscle and medullary rays. It is expressed constitutively in cells that synthesize collagen and is involved in Collagen Type I biosynthesis. HSP 47 plays a vital role in folding and assembling collagen. A procollagen-specific molecular chaperone, HSP 47 resides in the endoplasmic reticulum of procollagen-producing cells and is essential for secretion of procollagen from cells. After insult, it acts as a stress response molecule to sequester abnormal procollagen. HSP 47 synthesis is induced by TGFβ and IL-1β.
