pan-Cytokeratin (C11) Alexa Fluor® 647 | Santa Cruz Biotechnology

mouse monoclonal IgG1; pan-Cytokeratin Antibody (C11) is an IgG1 κ mouse monoclonal pan-Cytokeratin antibody (also designated Cytokeratin antibody, or Keratin antibody) that detects the pan-Cytokeratin protein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P), FCM and ELISA. pan-Cytokeratin Antibody (C11) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-pan-Cytokeratin antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-pan-Cytokeratin antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cytokeratins comprise a diverse group of intermediate filament proteins (IFPs) that are expressed as pairs in both keratinized and non-keratinized epithelial tissue (1,2). Cytokeratins play a critical role in differentiation and tissue specialization and function to maintain the overall structural integrity of epithelial cells (3,4). Cytokeratins have been found to be useful markers of tissue differentiation which is directly applicable to the characterization of malignant tumors (5,6). For example, cytokeratins 10 and 13 are expressed highly in a subset of squamous cell carcinomas while cytokeratin 18 is expressed in a majority of adenocarcinomas and basal cell carcinomas (5-6).
