mouse monoclonal IgG1; SAP 97 Antibody (2D11) is an IgG1 κ mouse monoclonal SAP 97 antibody (also designated DLG1 gene antibody, DLG1 protein antibody, Discs Large MAGUK Scaffold Protein 1 antibody, Synapse-Associated Protein 97 antibody, SAP-97 antibody, SAP97 antibody, Discs Large Homolog 1 Scribble Cell Polarity Complex Component antibody, Presynaptic Protein SAP97 antibody, Disks Large Homolog 1 antibody, DLGH1 antibody, Hdlg antibody, Discs Large Homolog 1 (Drosophila) antibody, Discs Large Homolog 1 antibody, or HDlg antibody) that detects the SAP 97 protein of mouse, rat, human and canine origin by WB, IP, IF and IHC(P). SAP 97 Antibody (2D11) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-SAP 97 antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-SAP 97 antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The discs large (dlg) tumor suppressor gene was first identified in Drosophila through genetic analysis of germline mutations. Several mammalian homologs were subsequently identified and categorized into a protein family designated MAGUK (membrane-associated guanylate kinase homolog). The mammalian homolog of dlg, SAP 97, is also known as hdlg-1 (human) and NE-dlg (neuronal and endocrine). The rat synaptic protein SAP 90 (also designated PSD-95) also shares homology with these proteins. MAGUKs are localized at the membrane-cytoskeleton interface and contain several distinct domains which suggest a role for these proteins in intracellular signal transduction. Interaction of hdlg-1 and NE-dlg with the tumor suppresor protein APC suggest that MAGUK proteins may also play a role in regulation of growth.
