Cancer biology can be defined as the sub-field of biology targeted towards understanding Cancer, usually at the cellular level. While targeted towards cancer, it involves the research of everything from the adverse cellular processes of a cancer cell, to the hosts immune response, as well as every avenue in order to abolish the disease.
