Multiplex Assays: A multiplex assay is a type of immunoassay that uses magnetic beads to measure multiple analytes during a single experiment. A multiplex assay is derivative of an ELISA using beads for binding the antibody. These are much more common in research than they are in clinical settings. Multiplex refers to those with the highest number of analyte measurements per assay.
