Biosafety Level BSL-4 is the highest biohazard level or biocontainment designation system with requirements intended to protect personnel from potentially harmful viruses . Aerosol transmitted infections are more dangerous and are frequently fatal and without treatment or vaccines. It is the absolute highest level of biosafety precautions to be taken.
