Cell purification is a laboratory procedure which separates cellular components within a biological sample. Cell purification is done as a preliminary step to analyzing the behavior of a single, pre-identified, cell population. Performing extensive analysis without cell purification can complicate the interpretation of results by including cells with biasing influences on the readout.
