PKD1 Gene

PKD1 Gene is a large gene with a longest open reading frame (ORF) transcript of 46 exons predicted to encode a 4302 amino acid multidomain integral membrane glycoprotein (polycystin-1). It is an integral membrane protein that functions as a regulator of calcium permeable cation channels and intracellular calcium homoeostasis.
