Vascular tissue is complex biological tissue located in vascular plants. Vascular tissue regulates the transport of water and nutrients throughout the plant. There are two major components making up vascular tissue: the xylem, which transports water from roots to stem, and the phloem, which transports compounds generated during photosynthesis to the rest of the plant.
