The in-person portion of the June 5th Sake & Science Seminar: Advances in Multiomics for Biomarker Discovery will be a rich and engaging experience. Attendees will be welcomed with small bites, and sake tasting to celebrate Takara’s century-long history in sake production while viewing scientific posters. The scientific program will feature presentations from leading researchers in the fields of single-cell analysis, spatial biology, and advanced multiomic technologies. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss their research findings, engage with instrument demonstrations, and learn about early access programs.

Please plan to arrive at our San Jose headquarters by 12pm. We are offering attendees the option to take Caltrain to the Santa Clara station, where there will be an event shuttle to transport you to Takara Bio. If you would like to utilize this service, please let us know so we may coordinate your pickup. Alternatively, if you are thinking of driving, we have ample onsite parking.

Sake & Science: Advances in Multiomics for Biomarker Discovery

Join us for a science seminar where cutting-edge biology meets transformative technology. Dive deep into molecular research using the latest multiomics advances, from the granularity of single-cell insights to the expansive power of spatial mapping and long-read sequencing.

While single-cell sequencing has revolutionized scientists’ ability to understand disease mechanisms by deconvoluting heterogeneity within organs and tissues, the rise of multiomics has empowered researchers to combine transcriptomic or epigenomic data with spatial data for an expanded, multidimensional understanding of complex tissue biology. Leveraging additional improvements in cell throughput, spatial resolution, and transcript coverage, current single-cell sequencing technologies have opened new avenues for molecular exploration into disease mechanisms, cellular heterogeneity, and new biomarker identification.

Whether you're a researcher, clinician, or biotech innovator, this event will spark ideas, foster collaboration, and showcase technologies for in-depth biomarker exploration.

Reserve your spot today!

What to expect:

  • High-throughput single-cell multiomics—discover how integrated multiomic profiling is reshaping our understanding of cellular function and identity
  • Spatial transcriptomics—explore how combining gene expression data with cellular location in tissues unlocks context-specific biological patterns
  • Long-read sequencing—learn how sequencing of full-length transcripts overcomes the limitations of short-read technologies

This hybrid event will take place online and at Takara Bio USA, Inc. in San Jose, CA. In-person attendees are also invited to present recent posters on biomarker discovery and multiomics. Transportation from the Santa Clara Caltrain station (SMCTD) to Takara Bio’s facilities will be provided. Small bites and beverages will be available.
