Abstract
Typically, scientists are viewed in a less than positive light when they transition away from the bench to careers outside of academia. However, there is considerable evidence that the expertise of those with advanced degrees in STEM is needed at every stage of policy design, implementation, and oversight. Dr. Prince will discuss the importance of shaping your experiences as a graduate student to prepare for a career in science policy after receiving your PhD.
