COSMIC is the world’s largest and most comprehensive somatic mutations resource. COSMIC’s contents are manually curated by PhD-level experts from high-quality scientific literature and trustworthy cancer programs like TCGA and ICGC.

COSMIC’s trove of information about mutations and tumor samples (like disease type, demographic data and therapies) is collected, standardized and integrated to allow for flexible use. And its suite of tools lets researchers and stakeholders explore and interpret the information in ways complementary to their goals.

COSMIC is updated with new content and improved functionality three times a year. Our most recent release (v94) contains over 37 million coding mutations and detailed phenotypic & genotypic annotations of 1.4 million cancer samples.
