Social responsibility and restorative justice have always been at the core of the cannabis legalization movement. Now faced with a global pandemic, the cannabis industry is stepping up to the plate with community giving initiatives, innovating new products for the "new normal," and addressing novel criminal justice issues. And, as states and localities look for more revenue to offset COVID-19's effects, it appears that this crisis is creating new opportunities for cannabis laws and reform with social justice emphasis.
