Abstract

Professor Svante Pääbo won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology for his contribution to the study of human evolution. A decade ago, his team managed to sequence the Neanderthal and Denisovan genomes which resulted in better understanding of human evolution and a better definition of us as modern human beings.

Dynabeads magnetic beads have played and continue to play an important role in the workflow from the isolation of trace amounts of ancient DNA to obtaining high-quality sequencing data.

Learning Objectives
  • Discover the story behind the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology 2022 and how Dynabeads magnetic beads were involved
  • Develop an understanding of human evolution
  • Recognize the importance of Dynabeads magnetic beads in the next-generation sequencing workflow

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
