Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is one of the most widely used gene delivery vehicles for gene therapy because of its non-pathogenicity, low immunogenicity and different tropism to multiple cell types. Purity analysis of AAV viral proteins is important for quality assurance and the safety of AAV products.
In this webinar, Tingting Li, Sr. BioPharma Application Development Scientist, will demonstrate the capability of the CE-SDS method for purity analysis of AAV viral proteins with straight forward and easy sample preparation, excellent resolving power, good repeatability and linearity of absorbance response to sample concentration.
The gold standard CE-SDS chemistry from SCIEX, traditionally used for mAbs, can provide automated separation of AAV capsid viral proteins with higher resolution, quantitation capability, better reproducibility and is less labor intensive than traditional SDS-PAGE.
The CE-SDS method using UV or PDA detector and stacking injection technology provides good results for AAV samples with higher titers. For in-process AAV product analysis, which requires higher sensitivity, a Laser Induced Fluorescence detection method may be used with great reproducibility.
Learning Objectives:
-
Straightforward and easy sample preparation procedure using gold standard CE-SDS chemistry
-
Flexibility with 3 possible detection modes, including high sensitivity CE-LIF for low titer samples
-
Achieve excellent resolution of VP1, VP2 and VP3 capsid proteins with better quantitation capability than SDS-PAGE
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
