Abstract
Immunohistochemistry (IHC) is a standard technique for scientists and pathologists to detect antigens. Examining one or two markers is a straightforward process but the level of complexity increases as more markers are added in complex samples (e.g., tumor microenvironments). Expanding to include more markers in an IHC experiment, requires in-depth knowledge about sample preparation, fluorescent dyes, and microscopes. This webinar will elucidate how to select markers and fluorophore dyes to a simple IHC experiment or start a larger Spatial Imaging panel. We will discuss how to prevent sample autofluorescence, unspecific antibody labeling, fluorescent bleed-through and spectral overlap.

Learning Objectives
  • Discover easy-to-incorporate techniques and tips to prevent nonspecific background effects or inadequate detection by dyes
  • Review basic methods from embedding, blocking, antibody labeling, mounting, and imaging the sample
  • Investigate free webtools to help design IHC experiments incorporating multiple fluorescent dyes

Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
