Proteomics and metabolomics
"Omics" are relatively new fields of science which focus on large-scale data and information used to understand biology of organisms. Proteomics describes the large-scale study of proteomes, or proteins produced by cells or organisms. Metabolomics describes the large-scale study of metabolites, the molecules found in cells, bodily fluids, tissues, and organisms.
